Should the Church be Separate from the State? Is it important for Christians to vote? In order to get down in the trenches and talk about this controversial topic you either believe godly leaders help the country or they have nothing to do with how things unfold in America.
The Church should govern itself through elected Church leaders. However, if a Church is clearly breaking the law the government should step in. The same goes for the government. If the government is clearly making good scriptural choices the Church should support the government. However, once the government has crossed the path and disobeyed a biblical principal the Church does not have to follow them. eg. Because the Church is Pro-Life and a government does not support Pro-Life then the Church must speak up and not support Pro-Choice. Because God is for life not murder.
Christians should vote, it is their God given right. If the Church sits back and does nothing many of our Christian rights and privileges that we enjoy in the US will be compromised. Christians should be looking at candidates that support life and that have clear moral and ethical principals that they abide by.
